Seinfeld has a great rule for this: never show something you wrote to anyone on the same day you wrote it. It's brilliant in its simplicity. You need to firewall creator from editor from performer.

I read this in a old HN comment. It looks like a good idea.

I'm using this blog to force myself to write the first draft. I'm from those writers who hate writing unless there is a compelling reason, a.k.a. existential urge to write. That may not be the best approach for posts for consumption though. A good story may need some brewing time.
