What if your beliefs are not deterministic but injected by a higher being?

The illusion of free will can also be something installed into humans to enjoy the being they have in the their minds. The consciousness and its experience may be something from the outside, not inside.

We feel that we have free will, otherwise we’d not enjoy the experience we have. Instead of watching ourselves and reacting impulsively, we’re making decisions — or feeling that we’re making decisions. It may be a predestined world — and our thoughts may be just results of certain deterministic processes. When you have that feeling for free will, you cannot just end the game and quit.

Also, there may be a higher being that’s shaping the will by its will. Meaning Allah may be the creator of our feelings and decisions and gives us leeway to feel that his decision is our decision.
